A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BUDGET FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE
INSURANCE FUND TO COVER A DEFICIT IN SAID ACCOUNT FOR FISCAL YEAR
1987 AND SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON.
ity of Kalispell in Fiscal Year 1987 appropriated
WHEREAS, the C cost of Comprehensive Liability Insurance
$144,356.00 to cover the
incurred during said year, and
WHEREAS, for reasons that could not have been reasonably foreseen
at the time of appropriating said amount, the actual cost of Comprehen-
sive Liability Insurance was $244,078-00, and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that $99,722.00 is required to meet the
emergency, and
WHEREAS, it appears that emergency warrants may properly be drawn
against the Comprehensive Liability Insurance Fund.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED By THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: .
SECTION 1. That an emerge . ncy appears to exist in the Comprehen-
sive Liability Insurance Fund for the Fiscal Year 1987,
occasioned by unanticipated rises in the cost of securing
liability insurance resulting in a fund deficit of approxi-
mately $99,722-00.
SECTION 11. That a public Hearing shall be held by the City
Councii at 7:30 P.M. on the 8th day of September, 1987, at
the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, Montana.
SECTION III. That at said hearing any taxpayer or resident
of Kalis 1 may appear and be heard regarding the expenditure
of money for the alleged emergency.
SECTION IV. That at the conclusion of said hearing the
Councii may by unanimous vote, declare an Emergency Budget
AppropriatiL to adequately fund the Comprehensive Liability
Insurance Fund and authorize the expenditure of necessary
arrants from the Comprehensive
funds drawn on emergency w
Insurance Fund to meet the emergency.
SECTION V. The City Clerk -Treasurer is hereby authorized
and directed to publish notice of the above set public hearing
by publishing a copy of the Resolution together with a Notice
of Public Hearing in the Daily Inter Lake, said publication
to appear on time at least seven (7) days prior to the time
set for bearing.
