A RESOLUTTON OF INTENTION TO ADOPT, REVISE, OR REJECT RECOMMENDED
AMENDMENTS.TO THE KALISPELL CITY -COUNTY MASTER PLAN.
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of September, 1985, the City Council of
the City of Kalispell adopted the Kalispell City -County Master Plan,
and
WHEREAS, said Kalispell City -County Master Plan classified certain
properties, to -wit. Lot 2A of the Amended Plat of Lots 2 and' 3,
Hall's Addition No. 82 to Kalispell, and Lot 4 of the Amended Plat of
Lot 4 of Hall's Addition No. 82 to Kalispell as High Density Urban
Residential, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property, M & C Properties, a Partnership,
owned by Cary Weyrauch and Michael Holder on the 10th day of June,
1987, made an application to the Flathead Regional Development Office
to re-classify said property as "General Commercial" in order to
allow more intense commercial facilities to be located on said property,
and
WHEREAS, the Flathead Regional Development Office in response to
said application prepared a Plan Amendment Report #KPA-87-1, which
evaluated said application and submitted the report to the Kalispell
City -County Planning Board and Zoning Commission at its regularly
scheduled meeting held July 14, 1987, and
WHEREAS, the Kalispell City -County Planning Board and Zoning
Commission did on the 14th day of July, 1987, at 7:30 P.M. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall, Kalispell, Montana, hold a Public
Hearing after proper notice,, and received public comment upon said
report and the recommend at ions of the Flathead Regional Development
Office, and
WHEREAS, after consideration of the report, recommendations and
suggestions elicited at said Public Hearing, the Kalispell City -County
Planning Board and Zoning Commission did by resolution (#KPA-87-1),
pursuant to Section 76-1-604, M.C.A., recommend to the City Council
of the City of Kalispell, M=tana, and to the.M.ard of County.�.-_Ummis_
sioners of Flathead County, Montana, that the Kalispell City -County
Master Plan be amended, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell considers it
advisable that they consider the recommendation of the Kalispell
City -County Planning Board and Zoning Commission and adopt a Resolution
of Tntent to Adopt, Revise or Reject.the Recommended Amendment to the
Kalispell City -County Master Plan.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL:
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of
City of Kalispell to adopt, revise or reject the recommended
amendments to the Kalispell City -County Master Plan as
recommended by the Kalispell City -County Planning Board and
Zoning Commission as follows:
a) That the land use designation under the Kalispell City -
County Master Plan of certain real property owned by M &' C
Properties, a Partnership, more specifically described as
Lot 2A of the Amended Plat of Lots 2 and 3, Hall's Addition
No. 82 to Kalispell, and Lot 4 of the Amended Plat of Lot 4
of Hall's Addition No. 82 to Kalispell be changed from High
Density Residential to General Commercial.
SECTION 11 - That the City Attorney is hereby directed to
torward a copy of this Resolution of Intention to Adopt,
Revise or Reject Recommended Amendments to the Kalispell
City -County Master Plan to the Board of County Commissioners,
Flathead County, Montana, for their examination and action
in accordance with Section 76-1-603, M.C.A.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AND APPROVED
BY THE MAYOR THIS 3rd DAY OF AUGUST, 1987.
