A RESOLUTION TO ALTER AND Al�iRND THE PLANS AND SPECTFTCATTONS OF
CONTRACT WITH SANDON CONSTRUCTTON COMPANY, INC., ON GRIFFIN FTELD
IMPROVEMENTS.

WHEREAS, the City did, on une 4, 1987, enter into a cont6ct with
Sandon Construction Company,fInc. of 327 Edgewood Drive, Kalispell,
Montana 59901, for development of baseball field at Griffi�, Field,
Phase T on the Griffin Field Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, upon the advice and recommendation of Dennis F. Carve'r,
who is the City's consultant and engineer on said project, certain
changes and alterations of design and specifications have been found
necessary and adviseable and in the best interests of the City; and
said changes and alterations could not have been necessarily foreseeable
when the original design and specifications were prepared on this
phase of the Griffin Field. Improvements, and said changes are contained
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and are by this reference made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, it appears in the best interests of the City to approve
said changes and alterations,
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the. provisions of Section 7-5-4308(l)
MCA be it hereby resolved:
I. The alterations and modifications of the specific'ations and
plans of the contract between the City of Kalispell and Sandon
Construction, Inc., dated June 4, 1987, as set out in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, are hereby approved; and
2. , As soon as the price to be paid for said alterations and
modifications are agreed to in writing, signed by the contractor, as
hereby approved by the Council, this approval thereof shall be in
effect.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL THIS 15TH—DAY OF JUNE, 1987.

Reduction in cost of the irrigation' system.
Justification:
Contract negotiation prior to construction.
Change to CONTRACT PRICE:
Ori--inal CONTRACT PRICE: $98,834.35
Current CONTRACT PRICE adjusted by previous CHANGE ORDER:
$98,834.35
The CONTRACT PRICE due to this CHANGE ORDER will be decreased by
84000.00.
The new CONTRACT PRICE including this CHANGE ORDER will be
$94,834.35
CHAN6� TO CONTRACT'TIME: The Contract Time- will be unchanged.
The date for completion of all work will be July 4, 1987.
