SUBJECT: Parks Cash -in -Lieu Methodology
DATE: October 25, 2021 (Work session)
BACKGROUND: At a previous Council meeting regarding development design standards
within the Core Area, there were some questions raised regarding recreational amenity/park
requirements for multi -family developments. Specifically, there were questions regarding
whether recreational amenity requirements could be waived and/or used for City Park
improvements for developments along the Kalispell Parkline. Staff will present the current
methodology for determining recreational amenity requirements for multi -family developments
and provide options for the Council to consider moving forward.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Council receive the report and direct staff
as needed.
