A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO SELL A REVERSIONARY INTEREST POSSESSED
BY THE CITY OF KALTSPELL IN REAL PROPERTY TO THE STATE OF MONTANA.
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell possesses a reversionary interest
in certain real property within its corporate limits to -wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3 of Block 24, Kalispell Original Townsite, Flathead
County, Montana,
and,
WHEREAS, the State of Montana, Department of Military Af fairs occupies
said property under a Warranty Deed dated the 15th day of April,
1949, and
WHEREAS, the Department is desirous of trading said property for
property located approximately 3 miles North of the City of Kalispell
and has requested that the City execute a Quit Claim Deed to the
property so as to facilitate the trade, and
WHEREAS, it appears that such a sale may be in the best interest
of the inhabitants of the City of Kalispell and that the property may
not be needed for the conduct of City business, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate amount to require as consideration for
said reversionary interest would be the sum of one dollar ($1.00),
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to sell said interest to the
State of Montana, in accordance with the provisions of Section 7-8-101,
Montana Code Annotated.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I— That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Kalispell to authorize the Mayor of the City of
Kalispell to execute the necessary document tran�sferring the
reversionary interest possessed by the City in Lots 1, 2, 3
of Block 24, Kalispell Original to the State of Montana.
SECTION 11. That the City Council shall hold a public
hearing a consider passage of a final Resolution authorizing
the disposal of said reversionary interest as described above,
at its regularly scheduled Meeting to be held on the 15th
day of September, 1986.
SECTION III. That the City Clerk -Treasurer is authorized
and direc�E_ed to prepare and publish appropriate notice of
the Resolution of Intention in the manner described in §7-8-101,__
MCA.
