MEETING DATE: September 20, 2021
BACKGROUND: The Police Department budgeted to replace two of its older patrol
vehicles.
The city advertised an invitation for bids for two (2) Oxford White (YZ) 2022 Hybrid
(99W) Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicles with specific options. The standard
drivetrain for these vehicles is a hybrid system which is advertised to result in significant
fuel savings over the lifetime of the vehicle.
The following two bids were received in response to the published Invitation for Bids:
Kalispell Ford
Duval Ford
$83,142.00
$81,396.76
ACTION REQUESTED: Award the bid for two (2) Ford Hybrid Police Interceptor
Utility Vehicles to Duval Ford.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The cost for the vehicles was budgeted for in the FY2021-2022
budget and is covered in line item 944 (Capital). As listed above, the lowest bid was from
Duval Ford for $81,396.76
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested and approved by the City Council.
