Serving our Community Public Comment from Ms. Sharon ReneeAimee Brunckhorst From: The Veteran's Daughter <misssharonrenee@gmail.com> Sent: Thursday, September 2, 2021 7:19 PM To: Kalispell City Council Subject: EXTERNAL Serving our Community Follow Up Flag: Follow up Flag Status: Flagged THE CH RISTIAN LADIES SOCIETY We rolled into Kalispell in September of 2019 and moved into the little yellow house on the corner across from the Senior Center (have since moved). What a blessing the Center was to our family! My husband and I care for my dad fulltime. Prior to caring for my father I worked in Memory Care. In caring for my dad it has opened doors to speak with many families, healthcare workers, our local VA, the Montana Alz Asso... as well as recently participating in a community focus group. I have become very aware of the great needs within our community.... both elderly and families of all ages. Not only the needs that our own family has experienced, but the awareness of others is what birthed The Christian Ladies Society. September 4 at 1pm is our first launch meeting at the Kalispell Senior Center. We will meet the first Saturday of each month after that. (enter at side door) No childcare available. $5 donation each meeting excluding September for launch month. Each month ladies will be partnered together and given a community project/person as the needs come in. We are people/ service focused and are unable to meet financial needs. Each team will also get together at least once a month for coffee or lunch at date/ time that works for them. In short, we are a group of Christian ladies of all ages who have a desire to serve others in our community while building lifelong friendships.
