A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDED CITY -COUNTY MASTER PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana
did on the 2 1 s t day of October, 1974, adopt the Comprehensive Plan
for the Kalispell planning area (Kalispell Land Use Plan), and
WHEREAS, the Kalispell Land Use Plan did not address many
recently occurring socio- economic and physical changes and trends
in the area, and
WHEREAS,.the above - stated Kalispell Land U,e P I a n did not
adequately address such considerations as transportation, housing,
public facilities, utilities and growth management, and
WHEREAS, the 1980 census data which recently became available,
provides new basis for analyzing and projecting community needs,
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has developed an up - dated version
of the Kalispell City - County Master Plan for its planning jurisdic-
tional area, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held a public session on October
9th, October llth and October 17th, 1984 to receive public input
pertaining to the draft updated Master Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held a Public Hearing on December
1 1 t h , 1984, in accordance with 7 6 - 1 - 6 0 2 M.C.A, and considered all
the recommendations and suggestions elicited at said Public Hearing,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell considered
it advisable that they consider the recommended Kalispell City -County
Master Plan as recommended by the Planning Board, and
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of September, 1985, the City Council
met and considered Resolution No. 3615, entitled "A Resolution of
Intention to Adopt, Revise or Reject the Recommended Kalispell City -
County Master Plan".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF KALISPELL:
SECTION I. The City Council of the City of Kalispell
hereby adopts the Kalispell City -County Master Plan, as
adopted by the Planning Board and presented to the City
Council of the City of Kalispell.
SECTION 11. A copy of the Kalispell City -County Master
Plan, as adapted by this Resolution, shall be attached
hereto as Exhibit "A
