A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ADOPT, REVISE OR REJECT THE RECOMMENDED
KALISPELL CITY -COUNTY MASTER PLAN.
WHEREAS, the
Kalispell
City -County Master
(Comprehensive)
Plan adopted by
the Kalispell City
Council
on October 17, 1974
and the Flathead
County Board of
Commissioners on
October
14, 1974 and later
reaffirmed by the
Flathead County
Board of Commissioners
on
March 7, 1978 does
not address many
recently occuring
socio-economic and
physical
changes and trends
in the area, and
WHEREAS, the above stated Master Plan did not adequately address such
considerations as transportation, housing, public facilities, utilities and growth
management, and
WHEREAS, 1980 census data which recently became available, provides new basis
for analyzing and projecting community needs, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has developed an updated version of the Master
Plan for its planning jurisdictional area, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held public sessions on October. 9, 11, and 17,
1984 to receive public input pertaining to the draft updated Master Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held a public hearing on December 11, 1984, in
accordance to 7t-1-602, M.C.A. and considered al.1 recommendations and suggestions
elicited at the pL4blic hearing.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SE'CTION 1: That the City Counjil' of' the City of Kalispell hereby
adopts a Resolution of Intention to Adopt, Revise or Reject the Kalispell
City -County Master Plan as attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 11: The City Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting
of the City Council shall consider said plan by.Adopting, Revisin-9 or
Rejecting said Master Plan.
