Resolution 3520 - Visitor's Information Center, Lions Park261 RESOLUTION NO. _q`;_00 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF THE FUNDS, LABOR AND MATERIAL NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT A VISITORS' INFORMATION CENTER IN LIONS' PARK, CITY OF KALISPELL (VACATION CITY), RECOGNIZING THE DONORS, AND PRO- VIDING FOR A MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE OPERATION OF THE VISITORS' INFORMATION CENTER. WHEREAS, the Kalispell Area Chamber of Commerce, Glacier Log Homes, Tri-City Lumber, Treweek Construction, C. Powell Electric, McElroy & Wilken Ready Mix, Biby Floor Covering, Bob Ross Construction, and Doepkers Landscaping & Pruning have offered to donate to the City of Kalispell the funds, labor and material necessary to construct a Visitors' Information Center at Lions Park within the City of Kalispell, and WHEREAS, the Visitors' Information Center construction upon City property through the efforts of the above named groups and individuals would upon completion be gifted to the City and operated in the public service by the Kalispell Area Chamber of Commerce, and WHEREAS, the addition of said facilities to the City will be of great va!ue and benefit to the City of Kalispell, the citizens thereof and to the many visitors to this Vacation City, and WHEREAS, it is necessary, that the Mayor and the City Council approve gifts to the City; and proper that the groups and individuals donating to the City be recognized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL: SECTION I. That the offer of the Kalispell Area Chamber of Commerce, Glacier Log Homes, Tri-City Lumber, Treweek Construction, C. Powell Electric, McElroy & Wilken Ready Mix, Biby Floor Covering, Bob Ross Construction, and Doepkers Landscaping & Pruning to supply the funds, labor and material necessary to build a Visitors' Information Center at Lions Park, Kalispell (Vacation City), Montana, is hereby accepted. SECTION 11. That the City Council hereby acknowledges the generous gift of the Kalispell Area- Chamber of Commerce,_ Glacier Log Homes, Tri-City Lumber, Treweek Construction, C. Powell Electric, McElroy & Wilken Ready Mix, Biby Floor Covering, Bob Ross Construction, and Doepkers Landscaping & Pruning on behalf of the City of Kalispell and its citizens and approves and accepts the gift with the City's deepest and most sincere appreciation. SECTION 111. That the City hereby accepts the completed Visitors' Information Center, to be open on June I, 1984, and thereafter be operated in the public interest by the Kalispell Area Chamber of Commerce. SECTION IV. That on or before .tune I, 1984, the City of Kalispell and the Kalispell Area Chamber of Commerce shall enter into a Management Agreement which shall expressly detail the right and duties of the Kal- ispell Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Kalispell vis-a-vis the Visitors' Information Center.
