Resolution 3517 - Resolution of Intent - Annexation - Northwest Horizons Addition255. RESOLUTION NO, 3517 A RESOLUTION TO CONSIDER THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF KALISPELL LOCATED IN U. S. GOVERNMENT LOT 14 OF SECTION 6, TOWNSHIP 28 NORTH, RANGE 21 WEST, P.M.M. , FLATHEAD COUNTY, MONTANA, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" TO BE DESIGNATED AS THE NORTH- WEST HORIZONS ADDITION NO. 160 TO KALISPELL, TO FIX A DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON; AND TO PROVIDE FOR PUBLICATION OF A NOTICE OF SAID HEARMC. WHEREAS, the Flathead Health Center, Inc., a Montana non-profit corporation, by and through its President/ Administrator, Eugene G. Johnson, the resident free- holders of certain real property (hereinafter described in Exhibit "A'") outside the corporate boundaries of the City of Kalispell, being contiguous thereto, have filed with the City of Kalispell a petition bearing the signatures of 51% of the resident freeholders in the hereinafter described property stating that they desire to have said real estate annexed to the City of Kalispell and requesting a Resolution of Intent to consider the annexation of the tract of land described in Exhibit "A" to the City of Kalispell; and WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell is desirous of annexing the real property described in Exhibit "A" and that it is in the best interest of the City of Kalispell that said petition be considered by the City Council of the City of Kalispell. NOW AND THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. It is the intention of the City of Kalispell that certain real property located in U. S. Government Lot 14 of Section 6, Township 28N, Range 21W, _ P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana, (to be designated as the Northwest Horizons Addition No. 160) shall be considered for annexation to the City of Kalispell. Said territory is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and for purposes of this Reso- lution made a part hereof. SECTION I1. A public hearing on said proposed annexation will be held by the Kalispell City Council at its regular meeting held in the Council Chambers, Kalispell City Hall, commencing at 7:30 P.M. on the r day of )? a 198i4. SECTION 111. The City Clerk -Treasurer shall forthwith prepare and publish in the Daily Inter Lake, a daily newspaper published at Kalispell, Montana, proper notice of said public hearing. EXHIBIT "A" A tract of land situated, lying and being. in Lot 14 or the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township. 28 North, Range 21 West, M.P.P., more particularly described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point on the regular subdivision line 450 feet southerly from the northeast corner of said Lot 14 of Section 6, Township 28 North, Range 21 West; thence contin- uing southerly along said subdivision line a distance of 400 feet; thence westerly at a right angle a distance of 300 feet; thence northerly and parallel to the east line of said Lot 14 a distance of 400 feet; thence easterly at a right angle a distance of 300 feet to the point of beginning. and a strip of land 60 feet wide east and west, and 440 feet long north and south, extending from the south boundary line of the reservoir tract above conveyed to the north boundary line of "Highland Park" as shown in the official plat of said Highland Park on file and of record in the office of the County Clerk and Recorder of Flathead County, Montana, the east boundary line of which 60 foot strip is 165 feet west of and parallel with the east boundary line of said Lot 14 of said Section 6. :A.
