My name is Pamela Berry and I live at 645 7th Ave E. Having lived my entire life here, owned two local businesses in the
past, paid taxes for more years than I care to remember, I strongly urge the council to disallow any and all marijuana
businesses within the city limits. The mere fact that it passed by voters is appalling to me!
I counseled high school students for many years about any drug use and the harm it causes, immediate or in the future.
Our goal was for young people to realize the harsh consequences of any drug use. Marijuana is, quite simply, a gateway
drug and is very very easily abused. While I was growing up, anyone caught with marijuana was charged with a felony.
made the decision never to use it, and because of my stand on that, I lost friends!
Please keep in mind the consequences this will have on our great community.
