RESOLUTION NO. 3464
A RESOLUTION ADJUSTING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF KALISPELL,
MONTANA, FOR THE YEAR 1982.
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell did adopt Resolution No. 3429
on the 9th day of August, 1982, setting a General Fund Revenue
Source Budget in the amount of $1,974,050.00, and
WHEREAS, as part of the General Fund Revenue Source Budget
the City of Kalispell estimated Motor Vehicle Fees accruing to the
City in the amount of $110,000.00, and
.WHEREAS, said Motor Vehicle Fees estimated failed to correctly
anticipate Motor Vehicle Fees and State payments in lieu of taxes
for the 1982-83 fiscal year, and.
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell has determined that its budget
did not include approximately $64,000.00 of the reimbursed fees, and
WHEREAS, THE City Council of the City of Kalispell did adopt
R-esolution No. 3430 setting the annual tax levy for the City of
Kalispell, Montana, for the year, 1982, at 104.0 mills on the 9th day
August, 1982, and
WHEREAS, said tax levy included the General Fund Levy in the
7,moun�L of 87.5 mills, and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 384, signed by the Governor of the
State. of Montana, on April 5, 1983, and effective that date, re-
quit.'�_-d the County to establish a method to refund the overpayment
for all taxing jurisdictionsi and
WHEREAS, the County has elected to reduce the second -half real
estate payment due May 31, 1983.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
O'P 'AALISPELL, MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS:
That the General Fund Tax Levy of the City of Kalispell,
Montana, for the year, 1982, is reduced by 5 mills to
82.5 thereby reducing the total levy required to 99.0
mills.
