Began work on parking lot at Kalispell Youth Athletic Complex. Parks Department — Ken Bauska, Foreman Maintenance Tasks qkWeed eating, mowing, and irrigation at various parks and KYAC. q�D Weeding of various flower beds and at Kalispell Youth Athletic Complex. c�DTrash pickup and cleaning of bathrooms various parks. Mowing of runway, taxiway and parking at city airport. q�Dl)irt, pit -run, backfilling and asphalt at the Kalispell Youth Complex. Painting of athletic fields at Kalispell Youth Athletic Complex. c�T)Repairs to drinking fountains at Woodland, Lawrence & Northridge Parks. Brick laying and final touches to Greenbriar Park. Recreation Department —Jennifer Reese, Ade Saunier, Val Hemsley, September was a very busy month. September was a busy month. Our Runn'in Rascals program started with 57 participants' ages 3-6 years old. Our annual Punt, Pass and Kick with 25 youth having fun with the Flathead High School varsity Football players. Also, busy with Skip Out, hiking and tours. Youth Basketball League has begun and will run through November 17`h, 2002. We have five High School Boys/Girls teams. Some are coed, all boy or all girl. This will make for an interesting league. There are four 7`h/8`h Grade Girls teams. The students and parents have expressed many thanks for this program. Our department had the opportunity to host the Montana Recreation and Park Association conference in Kalispell. We had 110 participants from all over the State and from Canada and Washington. Bruckhauser Pool: Another greet swim season has ended and Bruckhauser Pool is buttoned up for the winter. We were able to get quite a bit of maintenance done. There are some cosmetics still to do this spring. Parks Eagle Scout Josh McMichael completed his Eagle Project at the end of September. He assembled and painted six picnic tables for the Youth Athletic Complex and installed a trash receptacle at five different playgrounds.
