Dear Kalispell Leaders,
Kalispell is warming up, and with that, an organized gathering of people are hosting weekly parades Friday nights on
Main Street. It is loud, smoky, smelly, dangerous, offensive, and illegal.
These parades are organized regularly without a permit, and they destroy any semblance of downtown vibrancy. Many
vehicles fly flags that my children should not be reading, with the F word all over them. The burnouts are smokey,
smelly, and dangerous, and the constant engine revving makes it too loud to be outside on a nice night. It
feels aggressive, inhospitable, and downtown businesses, and the community is suffering. Why does the city of Kalispell
allow a group of law breaking thugs to run-off any charm and commerce that our little town might have on a friday
night?
