WHEREAS, upon the advice and recommendation of

engineer on said project, certain changes and alterations of design and specifica-
tions have been found necessary and adviseable and in the best interests of the
City; and said changes and alterations could not have been necessarily forseeable
when the original design and specifications were prepared on this phase of the
Demolition of Old City Hall and said changes are contained in
Project
Exhibit "All attached hereto and are by this reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, it. appears in the best interests of the City to approve said changes
and alterations,
WOW THEREFORE, pursuant -to the provisions of Section 7 S 4308(l) MCA
N
be it hereby resolved:
1. The alterations and modifications of the specifications and plans of the
contract between the.City of Kalispell and E. F. Matelich Construction Co.

dated April 14s 1981 as set out in Exhibit "All attached hereto,, are
. hereby approved; and
2. As soon as the price to be paid for said alterations and modifications
are agreed to in writing, signed by the contractor, as hereby appioved by the
Council, this approval thereof shall be in effect.

RE: Demolition of Old City Hall
Demolition Project No. 1-.81
Pursuant to Article 109 D (1d) of the General Specifications, Part 1, of
the above reference project, you are hereby directed to perform the following
extra work:
Relocate the existing radio base station from Old.City Hall
to the designated location in New 'City Hall. Work shall in-
.clude the replacement of the antenna installation of a new
line from the antenna to the relocated base, moving the base
station and connecting the base station to the existing re-
mote radios.
The work shall also include relocation of one pair of tele-
phone lines from Old City Hall to -reconnect the station at
New City Hall.
For the abovedescribed work you will be compensated as follows:
1. Work to be'accomplished by North Star
Communications & Engineering on moving
base station and component installation . . . . . . . $962.15
2. Payment to Northwest Telephone Systems, Inc.
forrelocating telephone line -"5-0.00
Sub -total 1,012.15
3. Add 15% overhead and profit 151.82
Total of Change Order.#1 $1,163.97
This Change Order was necessary since the Contract did not provide for the re-
location of the existing radio base station..
'No extra time will be allowed for completion of this work, as it is a con-
current event with other phases of work being performed with your contract.
