Subject: [EXTERNAL] Contractor for new trail.
It's obvious that Sandry is the low bidder for the new trail through town but I would question the quality of their work
based on the bike trail that goes out west of town. If I have my wires crossed and this was not done by Sandry, stop
reading now! If not, please continue! That trail is a mess! There are eruptions everywhere, grass growing through the
asphalt is a regular thing and in a few areas it's severe and is very, very, very bumpy to ride your bike through. It's even
easy to trip even if you're walking! Dips and holes are prevalent also. Initially deterrents to cars driving on the trail were
installed but have been torn out or been in disrepair for years. In addition, I have seen little attempt to remedy any of
these problems. If the new trail is supposed to be a showpiece for our city, I wouldn't choose Sandry . Let's choose
someone who'd do a good job that would last for years to come.
