Ordinance 1176 - Stop Signs - Meridian Road & Two Mile DriveORDINANCE NO. 1176 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF MERIDIAN ROAD AND TWO MILE DRIVE, ESTABLISHING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That vehicles, including motor vehicles, bicycles, or other vehicles shall be required to stop: A) In both the North and South bound lanes of Meridian Road at the intersection with Two Mile Drive; B) In the east bound lane of Two Mile Drive at the intersection with Meridian Road. SECTION II. The Chief of Police is authorized and directed to erect stop signs at the above location. SECTION III. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined or imprisoned in accordance with Section 1-9 of the Kalispell City Code. SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall become effective 30 days from and after its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
