In January I purchased five acres of land that we are currently developing for employee housing. We will have room to house up to 75% of our staff. I have the water well in, the DEQ permit is being worked on right now and we have the HWY department approval, with all of that in progress we are hoping to break ground this month.... With the news of Chipotle submitting plans for approval and planning to build next door to us, we may be forced to put our plans on hold and continue suffering in the same labor shortage as the rest of the service industry here in Kalispell. I what to help my employees, my family and my community. I'd love to discuss employee housing with you. I have worked in Jackson Hole and Park City where they have employee housing and/or mandates for employee housing. It can really stabilize our community and take the burden off of public officials and public assistance resources and it does not required government subsidized housing. I am taking the lead but I need your help. I'd love to get some time on the P&Z and County Councils agenda with 15-30 min to speak with you.
