AUTHORIZE CONSTRUCTION BIDS FOR NORTH MAIN SEWER
We, the undersigned, being all of the members o:f the City Council, do hereby
waive notice of the date and purpose of the Special Meeting of the City Council
to be held Monday, April 30, 1984 at 4:30 P. M..in the Council Chambers at City
Hall and consent to the transac.tion:,of the aboveand any other business that
may properly, come before the. City Council.

VISITORS CENTER.
Councilman Springer reported•:that the ParksCG.ommittee met today to.review a proposal for
'a Visitor's Center at Lions Park.and recommend, it be accepted. The proposal is from the
Chamber of Commerce to build a log home,20.' x 24' with.:a 10' covered proch. The,':structure
will be. built by Glacier:.LQg Homes in:,co.nju.nction, With MCElroy.& Wilkens, Tri-City'Lhmber,
Treweek Construction, C..Powell',EleCtric, Biby'.s Floor..C,ove.r ng, Bob Ross Constructionn
and Doepkers Landscaping and Pruning. .The entire facility will be donated bo tAe City
through the generosltyybdithe eiojht-parti�i.pating companzes.as evidence of their interest
to the further- enhancement: of -Tourism to;,:the Flathead:Va,lle'y. it will.operate under a
5 year, renewable annually,. lease to be prepared by the C t wAttorney. Buildirig official

Petersen has approved the building plans. Construction will begin in May with a June
lst opening date planned.
RESOLUTION NO. 3520
Councilman Springer moved adopt Resolution #3520 a resolution accepting the donation
of,the funds, labor and material necessary to construct a Vis.itor's Information Center
in Lions Park, City of Kalispell (Vacation City), recognizing the donors and providing
for a management agreement for the operation of the Visitor's Information Center.
Seconded by Councilman Palmer. Roll call vote. All voted aye.
AUTHORISE CONSTRUCTION BIDS FOR SEWER .LINE
Councilman Nystul moved the City be authorized to advertise for bids for construction
of 3' blocks of sewer main on Main Street from Nevada to Arizona Street for the purpose
of connecting to the North Valley Sewer District. Seconded by Councilman Ruiz. The
pipe was purchased three years ago. Approximate cost will be $24,000.00. Motion
carried.
There will be a closed meeting at 4:00 P. M. Monday, May 7th for discussion of labor
negotiations.
There will be a special press conference tomorrow morning at 9:00 A. M. at the Chamber
of Commerce.
The Council is invited to a Tourism Conference at the Outlaw Inn.
Councilman Springer moved to adjourn. Seconded by Councilman Schindler. Motion
carried.
