Mark Shickendantz, Sue Corrigan, Tia Robbin, Carrie Nelson, Chris Vick, and Museum Director
Brit Clark.
Committee Reports:
Budget: Mark Shickendantz reported on the Endowment balance. As of October 31St it was
$739,000 and $810,000 last night.
Marketing: Diane shared that the Interlake ran a % page ad promoting Christmas tours at the
Mansion and there is still enough for another ad from their in -kind donation for room
sponsorship.
Treasurer Report: Brit has sent the Financial reports via email. Our PPP loan forgiveness
request was accepted by the Small Business Administration.
Museum Director Report: Brit reported on grants. The Mansion is applying for a MT Tourism
grant. The MT Historic Preservation grant is due Jan. 15t" and can go to overhead this year. We
were awarded $9,200 from the MT Emergency Covid Relief which went to payroll.
Ghost tours went well. They were at half capacity, but with Covid and a snowstorm on the first
night, they still went well and Brit is happy with results. The FVCC student volunteers did a
phenomenal job. Thanks to the volunteers.
Christmas decorations will be going up. They don't want too many volunteers due to Covid. A
local gal will set up a Dickens style village scene in the Music Room.
Tours- There will be both guided and self -guided tours in December. A few more plexiglass
doors are still needed for security. She is including upgrades and more cameras for the security
system in the MT Tourism grant.
She finished the Non -Profit class and found it beneficial to connect with other nonprofits.
Newsletters will be going out soon and contain a donation link.
Other Business:
Employee bonuses: Sue presented a proposal for annual employee bonsues which are
traditionally sent on the paycheck before Christmas. Bonus proposal for this year is $750 for
Brit, $250 for Robert, and Joni, $200 for the Senior guides, and $100 for Junior guides, plus
$200 gift cards for Theresa Knutson and Chare Largent. Everit made a motion to approve
annual bonuses and Diane seconded the motion. All were in favor.
Strategic Planning: Next Steps for Garden Renovation Project
The next garden phase will be the SW section of the garden. This will be the least expensive and
least obtrusive. It will be nice to have an easier year plus Brit, Robert, and Joni have experience
working together in their Mansion capacities now.
CMM Memberships:
Memberships were discussed. Cate expressed that memberships are becoming passe with the
current generation and thought something framed as more "Friends of the Mansion" would be
better. Chris thought it cost more to manage memberships and they were not a big revenue
producer due to low membership costs. Everit — it is good for people to have a sense of
belonging. Diane agreed that memberships are not the most effective for us because there are
not enough different things happening, but it would be good to wrap the information into a
giving campaign. The Finance committee will make a proposal on how we can reach out to the
community.
Operation Ornament. Over the seasons, a few glass ornaments get broken each year and it is a
good time to replace them. Board members are invited to select and donate an ornament for
the tree each year. They don't have to be Radko, but it is nice. There are many options
available.
Mary Pat suggested a nice gift to offer Katherine as outgoing Board President.
Meeting Adjourn: 4:58 pm.
Next Meeting Dec. 15t" at 4:00 via Zoom.
