Joint press release from Kalispell Fire Department and Kalispell Police Department
On 11 / 18/2020 at approximately 12 : 57 AM Kalispell Fire and Police Departments along with our
mutual aid partners responded to a structure fire located at 737 East California Street. The structure
is deemed a total loss with fire and heavy smoke damage. Two civilians also perished with this
incident with one other having critical injuries. A fire cause determination investigation has been
performed mutually by the Kalispell Fire Department, Kalispell Police Department and the Montana
State Fire Marshalls Office investigators. This incident was deemed accidental however remains
undetermined as the fire cause. This incident represents a significant loss to the families, friends and
neighbors of the deceased and we offer our sincere condolences to all parties.
