[EXTERNAL] Goodman - Sale ofcity propertyI would like to speak about tonight‘s agenda item for selling a parcel of city property.
Around a year ago I made a written offer to the city to purchase a parking lot for cash at above market price with no contingencies. Although I was not given the courtesy of any sort
of answer, formal or otherwise, there were comments made during the council Meeting such as, “we don’t do business that way”, “if we sell city property we have to solicit bids and let
everyone have a chance to buy it”, “This would be like insider trading”.
I’m wondering what is different about this current situation of your consideration of selling a parcel to Robert Peccia and Associates. A response from you would be highly unusual but
desired.
