Subject: [EXTERNAL] Please Address Covid Crisis and Keep Schools Open
am writing as a teacher in Kalispell Public Schools. I fear that if IMMEDIATE action is not taken to
stem the COVID-19 Crisis, we will not be able to continue in our current capacity. The cases in this
valley have increased substantially and it is not from within our schools. My fear is that if we do not
do something IMMEDIATELY, our hospital will not be able to help all of our patients and our ICU
beds will be filled beyond capacity.
Masks are WORKING! The evidence from Kalispell Public Schools CANNOT BE DENIED. Students are
not passing the virus to each other while they are masked in our classrooms. They are getting
infected from the community where people are not masked. In order to stay open, our businesses
and schools must insist on wearing masks, social distancing, and smaller gatherings.
This can only be enforced if we have support from our County Commissioners and Health Board.
Please give businesses the support they need by enforcing masking restrictions!
Doctors and Public Health Professionals are important and integral for the health of our community.
The anti -mask agenda is DANGEROUS.
Thank you to Tamalee St. James Robinson, Dr. Peter Heyboer, and Dr. Jeff Tjaden and all members
of the Flathead County Health Department for all of your hard work to keep our community safe!
We appreciate you and you should be applauded for your efforts.
Sincerely,
Wendy Putzler
