Kalispell Meetings Public Comment
[EXTERNAL] Social Gathering Restrictions
After learning that councilman Ryan Hunter is pushing for social gathering restrictions, I wanted to write to you to
express my concerns about this and let you know that in NO WAY do I or my family support social gathering restrictions
such as these. Our constitutional liberties are not optional, nor are they secondary to ephemeral and opaque health
issues driven by some combination of politics and tyranny. As each week seems to bring new attempts to stifle social
gatherings lately, these same liberties seem to be little more than inconvenient roadblocks to some like councilman
Hunter and health department member Tamalee Robinson. This apparently insatiable desire to issue decrees by fiat do
not sit well with those of us who place a much higher value on liberty than their nanny -state instinct for control and
power. Please consider this and I hope you and the rest of the council will not succumb to a climate of fear, but instead
continue to support liberty in Kalispell.
Thanks, and best regards,
Chris Weil
