In this area another phase II was completed, and three 20,000- gallon underground fuel storage tanks removed along with fuel pumps and piping. Laboratory results are expected in the coming weeks. Flathead County Economic Development Authority is currently conducting environmental remediation at the remaining structure and then will demolish the building. The property is under contract for sale. The City continues to work with FCEDA toward a brownfield clean up loan for the former CHS Grain Elevator site. An update of the historic record for the property has been completed and next steps include the development of an Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives and then a 30-day public comment period.
