The applicants have applied to the City of Kalispell for a
conditional use permit to allow the use of an existing home to
provide a group home for a maximum of six seniors who do not
require skilled nursing care. The care givers will have individual
rooms on the second floor of the house and the six seniors will
each share one of the three bedrooms on the main floor.
The Kalispell City -County Planning Board and Zoning
Commission, after due and proper notice, on February 10, 1998, held
a public hearing on the application, took public comment and
recommended that the application be approved subject to four
conditions.
After reviewing the application, the record, the FRDO report,
and after duly considering the matter, the City Council of the City
of Kalispell, pursuant to the Kalispell Zoning Ordinance, hereby
adopts Flathead Regional Development Office, Conditional Use Report
#KCU-98-2 as the Council's findings of fact, and issues and grants

to the above -described real property a conditional use permit to
allow the use of an existing home to provide a group home for six
seniors in the RA-2, Residential Apartment zoning district subject
to the following conditions:
1. That the proposal will be developed in substantial
conformance with the approved site plan and the Kalispell
Zoning Ordinance.
2. That an adequate parking area be provided in the rear
portion of the property to accommodate four parking
spaces.
3. That all required licensing, inspections and approvals be
obtained from the State Department of Public Health and
the Kalispell Fire Marshall.
The conditional use permit, herein granted, shall terminate 18
months from the date of issuance if commencement of the
authorized activity has not begun.
