MEETING: October 5, 2020
BACKGROUND: Bids for a New Portable Asphalt Recycling Machine were opened on
Thursday, October 24, 2020. The procurement scope included the purchase of one New Portable
Asphalt Recycling Machine for the Street Division.
Out of the prospective companies who obtained bid packets one responsive bid was received as
listed below.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Award the bid for the New Portable Asphalt Recycling
Machine to NorMont Equipment Co. in the amount of $84,500.00.
ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to award the bid for a New Portable Asphalt Recycling
Machine to NorMont Equipment Co.
FISCAL. EFFECTS: The purchase of the New Portable Asphalt Recycling Machine will be
funded by the Special Streets Maintenance Fund line item 2500-421-430245-940: Machinery &
Equipment, Portable Asphalt Recycling Machine. A total of $95,000 was budgeted in FY 21 for
the purchase of a New Portable Asphalt Recycling Machine.
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested and approved by the City Council.
