I would love to come to the city council meeting this week, but as a person with at-risk family
members I do not feel safe doing so because of the preponderance of unmasked attendees atprevious meetings. Please consider offering all public meetings online so that everyone in the
community can participate, not just those who have no regard for their own safety or the safetyof others. Please also ensure that no one is allowed to enter the in-person meeting without a
mask.
As the daughter of a teacher over 60, I beg you to cancel the fair as it would endanger her lifeand the lives of hundreds of local public school employees who will be required to show up in
person and tie the shoes and wipe the noses of the thousands of kids who would attend the fairand then show up to school a short time later.
Lastly, after attending the Somers School Board meeting, I am terrified at the lack of concern
and preparation for COVID. Please issue county-wide standards from the health department sothat elementary school superintendents are not making the most important medical decisions
for our community without any experience or help from medical professionals. --
