City Council Meeting Public Comment from Lynn NobleFrom:Lynn Noble To:Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL] City Council Meeting Date:Tuesday, August 4, 2020 8:53:56 AM Dear Mayor and Council members: I am deeply disappointed with the council’s response to the public last night by shutting down the meeting. As citizens we have a right to be heard, in person. I was there to support our firefighters and the ask about the understaffing issue as well as what is being done to remedy that by the City of Kalispell as well as the findings from the EMS study done over 2 years ago at the cost of $40 thousand to the taxpayers. Additionally important is the censorship of the local citizens that took place last night under the guise of “health risk” not wearing masks; even though the same councilman who put the motion on the floor indicated he hated the mask, hated wearing them, and only did so because of the governor’s mandate (and was quick to remove his even though the community remained in the council chamber). Later the Mayor echoed the same sentiment about masks. The major indicated he does not wear his mask when in public. So this is all “show” and it is distressing that we have people in office that do “what they are told” even though it goes against common sense and they morally disagree with it. This is not leadership. It is time for the City of Kalispell to take a stand for the people who keep showing up, the patriots. Yet, they pander behind the scenes to the Love Lives Here group, keyboard soldiers, who are afraid to show their faces. It is time for our Mayor and councilmen to stand for the MAJORITY of citizens in Kalispell not the socialist groups that are working to destroy the liberties of our great county.
