Award 2020 Inflow and Infiltration Mitigation ProjectCITY OF KALISPELL MEMORANDUM To: Doug Russell, City Manager Cc: Susie Turner, PE — Public Works Director From: Patrick Jentz, PE —Engineer 2 Re: 2020 Inflow and Infiltration Mitigation Project Meeting: June 15, 2020 BACKGROUND: The City of Kalispell has several sewer mains around town that have root intrusion and infiltration problems that are excellent candidates for relining of the existing mains. These areas have been identified and ranked for CIP projects. This project includes furnishing labor, materials and equipment required to rehabilitate approximately 4,180 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer main ranging from 8" to 18" in diameter. BIDDING RESUTLS: Bids were received and opened on June 8, 2020 at 1:30 pm. Two responsive bids were received. REQUESTED ACTION: Award the base bid and all additive alternates of the 2020 Inflow and Infiltration Mitigation Project to Planned Engineering Construction Inc. FISCAL EFFECTS: The project will be funded through sewer fund line item 95310-454-430630-962 which has a current balance of $395,000.
