Woodmansey Subject: notice airport eng.rtf NOTICE TO AIRPORT ENGINEERS The City of Kalispell is soliciting statements of qualifications and experience from qualified airport engineers for future 2003 — 2008 improvements at the Kalispell City Airport. Improvements at the Kalispell City Airport may include, but are not be limited to: Land Acquisition Services Airport Layout Plan and Exhibit “A” Updates Land Use Planning and Airport Zoning Design and Construction Management Services for Airport Development including: Runway, Taxiways, and Aircraft Parking Apron, Hangar Access Taxiways, Perimeter Fencing, Infrastructure Improvements, and Runway Lighting, and Navigational Systems Engineering services to be provided shall include airport planning, engineering and administrative assistance in addition to the list above. Selection of an engineering firm will be made by the City Council. Criteria for selection will be familiarity with the Kalispell City Airport, experience in similar airport projects, qualifications of the firm to provide the services requested, and the reputation and capabilities of the staff members to be assigned to the project. The proposer shall make good faith efforts as defined in Appendix A of 49 CFR Part 26, Regulations of the Office of the Secretary of Transportation, to subcontract to small business concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (DBE). Individuals who are reputably presumed to be socially and economically disadvantaged include women, Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, and Asian-Indian Americans. The apparent successful proposer will be required to submit information concerning the DBE’s that will participate in the contract. It is the intent of the City Council to select the most qualified firm to provide these services. Selection is anticipated to be based on submittals received. Interested airport engineers should submit nine (9) copies of their Statement of Qualifications to: Mr. Chris Kukulski, City Manager: City of Kalispell, P. O.
