I FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
At approximately 08:33 A.M. on November 26, 2018, the Kalispell Fire Department responded to a
reported residential structure fire at 104 Santa Fe Street. Upon arrival crews reported a working the
with smoke showing from 3 sides of the attached garage. Occupants of the residence had evacuated
prior to fire department arrival. Fire damage was isolated to the garage area with moderate smoke
damage reported in the attached living areas of the structure. No injuries have been reported from
this incident.
This Is being mled an accidental fire due to combustibles located to close to a heating appliance,
which in this case was a wood fired handling appliance. Automatic aid was received from Evergreen
Fire Department, Smith Valley Fire Department, Kalispell Police Department, Braveheart Ministries,
American Red Crass, Flathead Electric and Northwestern Energy.
