At approximately 8:55 AM on Oct. 15. 2018. Kalispell Fire Department responded to a business In the
300 block of North Main Street In Kalispell for a report of smoke. The first unit arrived within 4
minutes of the initial dispatch and immediately requested 911 Dispatch to upgrade the call to a
structurefire.
All occupants were out of the building, and no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported Thorne
and fire damage was contained to the roam of origin. Moderate smoke damage occurred throughout
the building.
Kalispell Fire Dept. was assisted by Evergreen Fire Dept.. Smith Valley Fire Dept. Kalispell Police
Dept.. and Sraveheart Chaplainry. A total of 16 firefighters were needed to control the incident.
North bound lanes of Hwy 93 and East Oregon Street were closed for approximately an hour.
The fire cause and extent of damages are still under investigation. Initial indicators are that the fire
was unintentional and electrical In nature.
