During the milling process (whereby the existing blacktop is removed from the street), you will be able to get your cars into and out of your driveways with relatively short notice, except for when the milling equipment is working directly In front of your property. 2. Tack ail is a hat ail product that helps asphalt stick to the surface. Residents sh0uld avoid driving and/or walking on wet tack oil. Please keep pets off the tack oil to avoid injuries to their paws. Tack ail is applied at high temperatures and will stick to vehicles. tires, shoes, etc. which an be tracked onto areas not within the construction zone. Residents are encouraged to utilize alternate parking areas during this time. A neighbor across the street would be a great resource for alternate parking: please be sure to speak to your neighbor and ask permission before construction starts. 3. During the paving process and after an area is paved, it's imperative that adequate time (usually 4 to 6 hours) is allowed for the new blacktop to be pmpedy compacted and cooled before traffic can drive on it. Please avoid giving and walking on the new asphalt mat, especially with pets. This will prevent damage to both the new street surface, your car finish and tires, and your per paws.
