PRESS RELEASE CANDIDATE FORUM HOSTED BY THE KALISPELL CITY COUNCIL The Kalispell City Council will be hosting a televised candidate forum for this years primary election. Candidates running for districts that overlap the Kalispell city limits have been invited to take part The public is encouraged to attend this event to learn more about where the candidates stand on important issues that offect the community. There may be on opportunity to talk with the candidates fallowing the forum. The forum will be held Wednesday May 2, 2018 m 6.00 p.m. for candidates from House Districts J and 9, the County Commissioner's office, and the Sheriff's Dffice. The forum will be held in Council Chambers at Kalispell City Hall, 201 First Avenue East. The forum will be broadcast on Kalispell's public access channel (Cable Channel 190) live and then repeated at varying times up to the primary election in June. The forum will be moderated by Mayor Mark Johnson. It will consist of a 1 minute introduction/opening statement from each candidate. All candidates will then participate in question and answer style format together. Response lengths will be held to 2 minutes per question. Following the question round, candidates will have a 1 minute closing statement. Questions will be about current issues pertaining to the City of Kalispell and County/City related topics.
