On Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at approximately 8:20 am, Kalispell Police Officers responded to
the lower west side of Kalispell for a reported disturbance with a weapon. After arriving, officers
were informed the suspect had fled the scene. Kalispell Police Officers were able to locate the
suspect vehicle at a residence of off Whitefish Stage. Officers surrounded the residence and
attempted contact. The suspect did not respond to requests to Come out of the residence. The
Special Response Teams from the Flathead County Sheriff's Office and Kalispell Police Department
secured the residence pending a search warrant.
Tactical team officers deployed a distraction device outside the residence. Immediately afterthe
device was used, the suspect voluntarily came out of the residence and was taken into custody
without incident. No hostages were involved in the investigation.
35 WaroldKalispell resident Steven Personette was taken into custody. He is being held at the
Flathead County Detention Center on charges of Assault with a Weapon and Partner/Fomily member
Assault The investigation remains on -going.
