Press Release: Fire Incident at 1204 4th Ave East HTML Message: Rid Department press RELEASE At approximately 7:12 P.M. on January 15, 2020, Kalispell Fire Department received notification via 911 of a smoke investigation request inside a residence located at 1204 4th Ave East. Upon arrival of the Rest fire crews it was reported that there was smoke and fire issuing from the structure and a first alarm structure fire dispatch was immediately requested Upon further size up it was recognized that additional man power was to be needed due to structural considerations and also the freezing onditi0ns present and a second alarm was requested and initiated All occupants of the structure which was a single family residential house converted into separated Irving areas for multiple rental occupants reported to be safe and accounted for. An exterior defensive fire attack was initiated. Once Me main portions of the fire activity had been calmed crews transitions into an interior fire attack to extinguish the fire. No Injuries have been reported with this incident. Assistance was received from Kalispell Fire Department, Evergreen Fire Department, South Kalispell Volunteer Fire Department, Smith Valley Fire Department, Whitefish Fire Department, BodRock Fire Department and Flathead Electric.
