Dear City Council of Kalispell,
I am writing to request the removal of Dr. Annie Bukacek from the board of the
Flathead City-County Health Department. I had not known that Dr. Bukacek had been
approved by the County Commissioners in December of 2019. Aside from her
xenophobic and discriminatory views she is now promoting misinformation about
COVID-19 in order to undermine safety recommendations from the health department
and local hospitals.
Her campaign to discredit these health care authorities and create animosity in the
community are unbecoming of a medical professional (see attached report). Her advice
could threaten the lives of many people in the valley, either from increased exposure
to this contagious virus or radicalization to extremist groups that she supports.
Please support the safety of the Flathead Valley citizens by denouncing Dr.
Bukacek's activity and rescinding her public position on the board of the health
department as soon as possible. In addition, I believe the council should formerly
address the County Commissioners re: the grounds for which they believed it was
necessary and prudent to add Dr. Bukacek to the Board of Health.
