Dear Health Department Board Members:
I am writing to request that you remove Dr. Annie Bukacek from the board of
directors of the Flathead Health Department. I read of her appointment a few months ago with concern that she would prove a divisive board member who might undermine the scientific legitimacy of vaccination. Now I see her clearly as an immediate threat to the health and safety of the Flathead Valley population.
Dr. Bukacek has long been an outlier in the medical community of the Flathead
Valley because she cloaks her religious views in the trappings of medicine. At this point she is actively engaged in subverting the efforts of this community to prepare for, and handle, the spread of Corvid 19. She is spreading conspiracy theories and suggesting government overreach in response to the Governor’s efforts to protect the people of
Montana and those of our local officials in Flathead County. I understand that Dr. Bukacek has quite a local following of patients and sympathizers who wish to describe the efforts to manage this pandemic as something other than they are. Her views and activities endanger us all. This is not a time when we can afford to have her subversive views dividing a community and putting us all at risk.
Please remove Dr. Bukacek from her position on the board of the Flathead Health Department.
