Dear Mayor Johnson and Kalispell City Council,
I read recent coverage in the Flathead Beacon about the County health board meeting, and the
decision to close gyms and eateries. The comments made by Annie Bukacek at the meeting aredisturbing. I am currently in Tacoma, Washington, and though Pierce County has not been hit
as hard by Covid-19, it is mostly because of the aggressive responses taken after the increasein cases in King County. As I watch the case numbers climb in Flathead Country I can't help
but fear that we will not be so lucky. Thus it is disturbing to find out that we have a healthboard member that denies that the problem is serious. Please take the coronavirus seriously
and take strong measures to contain it's spread.
