Dear Mayor Johnson and Kalispell City Council,
As a Flathead County resident I am concerned about recent actions taken by a member of the FlatheadCity-County Health Board during the Covid-19 health emergency. Since she has a proven record of notbeing an advocate for Public Health, I question Annie Bukacek’s role as a physician leader on theFlathead City-County Health Board. She has recently posted YouTube videos downplaying the Covid-19 crisis. She organized the protestagainst the City’s declaration of a state of emergency. Both actions are extremely irresponsible anddetrimental to the health of our community. Lives are at stake, and this is not the message that should becoming from a member of our Flathead City-County Health Board. Annie Bukacek has a right to herpersonal opinions, but in no way should they be presented as representing the consensus of PublicHealth experts.
