Hi to all members of the Board,
I don't pretend to know what this is all about as to the ramifications to whether we do or
whether we don't declare a state of emergency, but I do know it means more shut down. Thismay be necessary and if decided upon, I will do my part. However, I have been doing my part
over and beyond since the 21st of March. I am 65, so being careful already.
Is there anyway around this as it does seem to be extreme? The cost to all our lives and somemore than others like the murder/suicide that happened is to be considered as well as the virus
spreading. The more things are shut down, the more the human cost is on a whole other level. Can there be some way of curtailing those who are not helping contain the spread? Since the
two doctors that traveled out of the area and did not quarantine themselves and many othertravelers have brought the virus back to us, is there a way to target that type of situation rather
than punishing the rest of us?
If I am not mistaken, if you declare a state of emergency, I will lose a needed health caretreatment. If I don't get chiropractic care each week, my strength and vitality will go down
making me more susceptible to the virus or any bug. This loss will effect many others in theirneed as well. What other services will be closed that are life lines to compromised people?
What is to say that the need of these individuals accumulative are just as important as all otherneeds? Are you trying to protect the valley or get more money to cover things that the valley
needs? These are trying and unbalanced times. Is there a way to pick and choose what is partof the emergency package?
How many people will this save and how many will it kill or at least crumble to dust? Big
questions and I do not think I am in favor of it.
Thanks,Phyllis
