To the members of the City of Kalispell Council:
In today’s Daily Interlake it is reported that the city council of Kalispell will consider a declaration of a
state of emergency to curtail the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Control of ingress and egress to the city is among the proposed items for discussion. If this is
implemented, it could significantly impact about 75,000 county citizens outside the city limits who
depend on the city of Kalispell for shopping for groceries, prescriptions, medical care, other essential
services and more importunately access to Covid-19 virus testing if an individual has any of the
recognized symptoms of the virus.
Please ensure that any measures that are put in place are rational and consider the needs of all
citizens equally.
Respectfully,
William and Rachel Zerwekh
