COVID-19 State of emergency Public Comment from John FullerFrom:John Fuller To:Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL] Emergency declaration Date:Monday, April 6, 2020 5:54:14 PM Dear Kalispell City Council, As the Representative for west Kalispell (District 8) in the Montana House of Representatives, I object strongly to the Kalispell City Council considering, let alone granting curfew powers to an unelected bureaucrat no matter what the emergency. Even considering a curfew is an egregious overreaction to an undetermined danger. My constituents are unanimously opposed to such a policy and in all my years of experience, I have never seen them so riled up over even a proposed governmental action. If this ordinance (proclamation, et. al.) is put into place, we will have massive civil disobedience. I must state in the strongest terms that this proposal is ill-advised, unnecessary and dangerous to the civil liberties of all of Flathead County. Please table it immediately. Sincerely, John Fuller Member, Montana House of Representatives, District 8 Sent from Mail for Windows 10 Legislators are publicly elected officials.
