Dear Mayor, Council members, and Mr. Russell:
It may be beneficial for the city to follow suit by declaring a "state
of emergency" for the current alarm raised by the SAR-COV-2
"Wuhan Virus".
It is interesting to note that tonight's meeting agenda has
proposed allowing the city & KPD to
1. Prevent ingress and egress to the city and also 2. To enforce a
quarantine and curfew where no real emergency exists.
(Page 56, item 3)
I believe this part needs to be stricken from the proposed
ordnance completely.
This statement has NO place in a free society in spite of perceived
health dangers, which are by all accounts not worse than a
standard flu season here in the valley.
While you may be able to recover some state or government
monies through this declaration, infringing on ANY freedoms of its
inhabitants will serve no purpose at all.
Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.
