COVID-19 State of emergency Public Comment from David Leavitt4From:leavittdr@aol.com To:Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL] Regarding all multi-family / multi-unit developments Date:Monday, April 6, 2020 8:57:08 PM I have not seen details on any of the planning for the development items on the agenda tonight, so I cannot comment in regard to these, but I do wish to raise an issue for future considerations: It has been my observation throughout the entirety of the Kalispell area that most apartments and multi- family units that parking has not been properly considered. It appears the majority of these units only allocate one vehicle per unit, thus not allowing for two or more drivers in one family nor a roommate situation, let alone having any visitors. I have lived in an apartment complex where I often had to park 3 buildings away, as there were no spaces any closer. I had looked at renting a quadruplex unit to be split with a roommate, however there was only space available for us, thus the other would have to park about 4 blocks away. My current residence is in a duplex in a neighborhood where there are really only 2 parking spaces available to most units (1 in the driveway and 1 on the street).
