COVID-19 State of emergency Public Comment from Brad HeldingFrom:Brad Helding To:Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL] Utility rates Date:Monday, April 6, 2020 6:49:12 PM Dear Kalispell City Council, Once again I urge you to vote AGAINST any utility rate increase as long as this burden is placed on current residential customers. I strongly object the 50% decrease in impact fees while increasing residential rates . This is unfair and will only cause hardship on current residents especially in these trying times. I have sent written comment and attended your workshop session and still oppose this rate increase as proposed. I pay sewer, water and garbage for my own home and rental property at 1130 1st Ave W and will have to raise my rental rate if this goes through. How does that help with " affordable housing?" I also find it curious that this vote was buried under the " State of Emergency" proposal being considered tonight.. I oppose this as well. Thank you for the opportunity to comment Brad Helding 1125 1st Ave E Kalispell MT 59901 406 314 7340
