MEETING CALLED TO ORDER at 8:35 AM by Marshall Noice, Chairman MOTION: to approve the agenda dated December 3, 2019 and the minutes of November 5 by Christopher Petersen with a second by Ryan Berweger – approved unanimously HEARING OF THE PUBLIC: No public comment
BUSINESS Kaos Update: Waiting for Flathead Valley Community College to fabricate the signs. The committee is still planning on doing a public unveiling when the racks are installed. Forrest Buddies could be installed this winter.
Name that trail: The committee has reviewed names and limited the options to three; Highball Trail, Kalispell Parkline, and Kalispell Centerline. Further outreach to boards and committees in the community will transpire during the month of December with a potential determination of the name by the end of December and then work on the logo during January. Downtown Trees: The City of Kalispell Parks and Recreation would like to order 12 new trees to
replace dead or missing trees in the BID District. The BID board approved the purchase and would like to look at grate replacement in the future and the possibility of placing plaques on the grates that say donated by the BID. Executive Director Contract: The board would like to renew the Executive Director contract for a 2 year period. In order to meet with the fiscal cycle this contract would be renewed for 2 ½ years
effective January 1, 2020 until June 30, 2022. They wish to change the title of the Executive Director to Executive Coordinator to reflect the board as “the directors” and the independent contractor as the coordinator of the Board of Directors plan. Further the board would like to review the contract services at the next meeting to reflect the goals and objectives of the organization. Christopher made a motion to approve the contract from January 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022. The motion passed
unanimously. New Business:
• The Kalispell Art Walk and Holiday Stroll will be held on Friday, December 6 and have 46
businesses participating.
• The City of Kalispell Planning Director Tom Jentz is retiring and there will be a party for him tonight, Tuesday, December 3 from 5:00 – 7:00 at the Kalispell Bar. The board is invited. ADJOURN: Motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:20 AM by Ryan with a second from Christopher. The
motion passed unanimously.
