RESOLUTION NO. 4065
A RESOLUTION LEVYING AND ASSESSING 4.15 MILLS AS THE CITY'S
SHARE OF THE COST OF OPERATING THE FLATHEAD CITY -COUNTY HEALTH
DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell and the
Flathead Board of County Commissioners entered into an Interlocal
Agreement dated March 14, 1980 for the operation and maintenance
of the Flathead City -County Health Department, and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Agreement provides that the cost of
operation of the Flathead City -County Health Department shall be
distributed between Flathead County and the City of Kalispell
with each entity levying an identical levy, and
WHEREAS, the City's share of the cost of operating the
Flathead City -County Health Department, under the Interlocal
Agreement, in fiscal year 1993 shall be approximately $65,000.00,
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to levy 4.15 mills to fund the
City's obligation to the Flathead City -County Board of Health.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That a tax be levied for the assessment of
cost in the amount of $67,837.60, for the operation
and maintenance of the Flathead City -County Health
Department in fiscal 1993.
SECTION II. That the sum of $67,837.60 shall be
collected by levying 4.15 mills upon the taxable
valuation of each parcel of property within the
corporate limits of the City.
SECTION III. That the City Finance Director is
authorized and directed to furnish a copy of this
Resolution to the Flathead County Treasurer.
SECTION IV. The Flathead County Treasurer is
authorized to collect the money in behalf of the City
of Kalispell and disburse said funds as County Funds.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL THIS 10TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1992.
